Certainly a controversial direction for the band, but this album ultimately rests as my favorite from TTNG. The technical mastery of their previous albums is still present here along with some very thought provoking and philosophical lyrics. I may not always agree with the lyrical messaging, but this is an album which rewards careful listening. Syobnaf

This work embodies twists and turns with each song. Great buildups, great cut off points, atmospheric, heavy as well as bright all throughout. After many listens this album encapsulates math-rock/post-punk/post-rock exceptionally well. humongouslomghonogoufungus

best track on the album and one of their best tracks probably period is easily so say we all, it's a framework that establishes who they are and what music they are going to make and they stick to it wonderfully. hammerbaird
